In the 40th Reunion Directory, Captain Rich Kight said one of his senior year highlights was the Bulldogs' shutout victory
over a strong and previously undefeated New Milford team one very rainy day. The 1967 edition of the Bulldogs
came up one game short of qualifying for the State tournament despite shutting out their opponents five times during the season
and putting together a string of 14 consecutive unscored upon quarters prior to the final game of the season.

Collegiate News
- Steve Reenstra played and started in goal for the varsity soccer team at Hiram College his
freshman and sophomore years. During the 1968 campaign, Steve recorded 168 "saves," a school record that still stands
40 years later. Steve reports that had the Bulldog team been playing in front of him, the opponents never would
have made so many shots on goal nor he had so many save "opportunities."
