Sonnet #1

To feel the pain of death no more.

The gift of life's eternal ride.

From worldly strife forever hide,

This is what my wish is for:

To enter not the blackened door;

Know not the sorrow; with joy abide,

And walk with angels side by side,

To laugh and sing till God's thrown o'er

But I cannot forever stay.

To cling to life's a foolish way.

In time I must from earth depart,

So I must keep a gentle heart,

And if I will all evil chide,

I'll walk with angels side by side.

We have not found an obituary to date, but Julia Halevy posted the following note in Facebook the week of June 2, 2024. If anyone sees an obituary, please forward a copy to Steve.

For those who knew him, my beloved brother, Dan Halevy, RHS class of 1967, died on May 16 at his home in Philadelphia. He suffered through Parkinson's for 15 years until a fast and lethal lymphoma took him. He was just shy of his 75th birthday.

Dan lived a productive, upstanding and conscientious life, supporting workers as a lawyer for the NLRB.

Warm and caring, he leaves his wife, Susan, of 50 years, two sons and four grandchildren - and his last remaining sibling (me).

Bernard "Buddy" Rosman
, 73, was laid to rest September 11, 2022, in Clifton, NJ, surrounded by friends and family.

Bernie, as he was known by some, ventured out to California in the early 1970s. He put down roots and created a home and community there. While having a small number of blood relatives, he had a very large chosen family with many friends on both coasts. He was like an uncle to the many children of many of his friends.

He was an Inhalation Therapist and also Chairman of the Board of FairWing Records – B. Howard Ross Productions, where he was responsible for the creation of the 4 CD set of music introduced at the 40th class reunion and still used today at other class gatherings.

Bernard, as he liked to be called in his later years, was well versed in a broad range of topics. He was fond of music, from Bach to ZZ Top, jazz and blues, opera and country, movies, mostly classic films, art and opera. He could talk about all sports, both college and professional, but his favorite was the NY Yankees. We will all miss hearing his stories.

He will be greatly missed by all and may he rest in peace.
